Since the Trump Administration announced plans to open most of the California coast to offshore oil drilling, 11 of the state's 15 coastal counties have adopted similar resolutions, along with more than 20 cities. An overwhelming number of Californians--69%--oppose new offshore oil drilling.

If adopted, this resolution will be submitted to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, which is accepting public input until March 9
